Ms. Hind Hariri, daughter of the former Prime Minister of Lebanon, the late Rafic Hariri, accepted the 2005 Tipperary International Peace Award, which was posthumously awarded to her late father by Tipperary Peace Convention.
The former Lebanese Leader actively promoted peace, tolerance and justice, and he paid the ultimate price for his convictions as he died defending the spirit that united the Lebanese people.
Ms. Hariri said that for her late father, peace was not a choice but a necessity, and with that conviction in his heart and mind he was determined to make the necessity a reality.
